Arnold & O´Sheridan, Inc. is a well respected, vision driven, full service consulting engineering firm. We are currently seeking a Director of Higher Education to head our Higher Education Market Sector. The Director is responsible for providing a high level of service to clients by identifying and developing new project opportunities on projects such as: research laboratories, academic buildings, student housing, sports/athletic facilities, student unions, libraries and many other building types.
This person is responsible for establishing and maintaining high level client relationships, managing the design process, and leading cross-disciplinary design teams. This includes developing overall design concepts, project management, and continuous quality control. This position´s primary duties include business development, project managing, and some engineering.
Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years experience in the building design industry and a BS in a related engineering or architecture field is preferred. Strong client relationship skills, demonstrated success in developing a team, and excellent communications skills are desired.

MECHANICAL/HVAC ENGINEER
LOCATION: Arnold and O´Sheridan, Inc.

We are currently seeking a mechanical/HVAC Engineer to provide the design of hot water, warm air heating, steam, chilled water, and DX cooling systems.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of at least 5 years experience in HVAC systems design for healthcare facilities including emergency rooms, clean rooms, nurse call stations, pharmaceutical laboratories, etc. Requires a motivated self-starter, with excellent organization and communication skills who is proficient in AutoCAD. Familiarity with Department of Commerce code, uniform building codes, ASHRAE standards, Microsoft Office, Elite, and Trane load programs also a plus. Ability to obtain multi-state PE registration is desired.

We are currently seeking a Technology Designer for Audio Visual Systems, Data and Cabling Systems, Data Networks and/or other telecommunications systems for our Madison and Brookfield locations. The specific responsibilities of the Technology Designer include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Market our Technology design services to our clients by providing leads to marketing department, assisting with proposal preparation, attending client interviews, and meeting with potential clients to determine their Technology needs
2. Provide technical expertise and support to project management teams, and clients in relation to the design of Technology systems
3. Develop, implement and ensure procedures are being followed for scheduling, budgeting and development of accurate project construction cost estimates
4. Ensure that the level of quality for each project meets the standards established by the client and the Company
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of a 2 year experience in working with Audio Visual Systems, Data and Cabling Systems, Data Networks and/or other telecommunications systems. AutoCad experience, experience in voice and data field and CTS certification is a plus. Must have excellent salesmanship, technical, and communication skills. Must be able to relate to a wide range of clients with varied technical backgrounds. Working knowledge of Auto CAD a plus.

The primary function of the Entry Level Structural Engineer is to be involved in the application of engineering fundamentals to design building Structural systems. This is a developmental position in which the Engineer learns to apply theoretical knowledge to practical application.
Qualified candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. Requires a motivated self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills who is proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling (Building Information Modeling). Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other structural design programs a plus. Completion of the Engineering-In-Training exam is encouraged.

DISTRIBUTION SERVICES CLERK:

The Distribution Services Clerk is responsible for keeping all engineering documents in A&O´s Plan Area, current and updated for projects in the construction phase. Collaborate with internal and external project team members to continuously improve the document management process.
A qualified candidate will have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 25-40lbs. Advanced knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel desired, but not required. Must have good proofreading, grammar, spelling and organizational skills. Will provide support to many employees and must be flexible and able to prioritize.

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

The Director of Business Development is responsible for the overall leadership of the marketing efforts, client service and project performance. The Director of Business Development will oversee the efforts of the marketing staff, the Market Sector Leaders, and the Project Managers.
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or related field required. A minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in the A/E industry. Experience with word-processing and spreadsheet programs necessary. Experience coordinating a small staff preferred. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; technical writing experience a plus. Must demonstrate excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER:

The primary function of the Structural Engineer is to be the firms representative responsible for the overall coordination and design of structural projects from inception through completion. Responsibilities include designing of Structural systems to include cast-in-place, precast, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood for a variety of commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
A qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in the design of a variety of building system types including concrete (cast-in-place, pre-cast, post-tensioned) and structural steel (conventional and composite). We need a motivated self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills who is looking for a challenging position and the opportunity to work on and be in charge of a wide variety of project types. Strong client service attitude and exceptional communication and organizational skills are desired. Ability for Wisconsin PE registration required. Working knowledge of a variety of computer programs including AutoCAD, MS-Excel, MS-Word and STADD III and Windows.

PLUMBING DESIGNER:

The Plumbing Designer will provide the design of plumbing systems and fire protection to the Mechanical project team. May assign the final drafting to CAD technician or draft own designs.
A qualified 4-6 years of design experience in Consulting Engineering, Health Care, Hospital and Institutional Facility Design- Domestic. Proficiency in AutoCADD 2002 or early version is required. Must have a minimum of a two year technical degree in related field. Must have a strong client service attitude, exceptional communication and organizational skills and a desire to manage your own projects.
