Lincoln County Jail
Merrill, Wisconsin
Arnold & O’Sheridan’s engineering design solutions for the renovation and addition to Lincoln County Jail will increase staff efficiency, improve safety and increase inmate capacity. Some innovative engineering solutions for the jail renovation and expansion included a complete upgrade of security equipment and controls, along with intelligent touch-screen technology. This system allows staff to control cameras for call-ups to intercoms as well as the lights, receptacles, televisions, telephones and showers in inmate areas. The security electronics system is custom designed with an audio tour function for remote monitoring increasing staff efficiency.
Faced with a two month design schedule the engineers produced construction documents on a tight deadline. A combined team effort utilized design meetings, maintained constant communication, and met the project schedule on time and within budget.
