Upgraded personal response system enhances resident safety

Premier retirement community enhances the safety and security of its residents and found a new revenue stream when it upgraded its emergency response unit with an innovative system. The new system was installed in tandem with the expansion of St. John’s independent living facility.

The upgraded system ties each resident’s personal emergency response device into each unit’s telephone lines. When a resident requires assistance, the unit activates the speaker phone, enabling the resident to converse with the emergency response team.
